shipping and returns

what shipping options are available?

I offer ship only to the continental US via ground shipping using UPS or USPS. Shipping times are typically 3-6 days depending on how far you are from my workshop in Wadsworth, OH. Contact me before ordering if you want a faster shipping method and I will get a shipping quote for you.

I also offer local pickup if you are in the Wadsworth, OH area. Contact me if you are interested in this option rather than processing it through the website. Local pickup is by appointment only.

what is the handling time before shipping?

Handling time varies by whether the item is in stock:

  • In stock items typically are shipped within 1-2 days business days.
  • Custom and built-to-order items typically take some additional time to craft for you. I provide estimated build times for each item on the product detail pages. If your item will take longer, I’ll let you know.

If I am running behind on getting orders out, I will post a notice on the product and cart pages alerting you to any additional handling time needed.

Once an item is shipped I will send a shipping notification with the estimated delivery date.

product questions

where are your products made?

Everything is designed and built by me in my Wadsworth, Ohio workshop.

how do I care for my handcrafted wooden items?

Each wooden creation is unique due to variations in the wood character (grain, colorations, etc). Wood color changes over time due to oxidation and UV light exposure, with most species darkening or ambering as they age, typically within the first year. Generally, lighter woods like Maple and Birch darken to honey/golden tones, while exotic woods like Cherry deepen to rich red-browns, and Walnut uniquely lightens.

I use UV resistant coatings that will slow down (but not stop) the color changes.

Take care of wood products by dusting with a soft cloth (microfiber works well for dusting). Wipe off any spills immediately. A little water on a damp cloth is safe to use to cleanup any dirt spots. Avoid scrubbing and dry the piece immediately with a dry cloth.

Avoid high heat, and excessive humidity to prevent warping. I finish all sides of my wooden creations to reduce the likelihood of warping, but it is not a guarantee.

do you make custom orders?

Absolutely! I enjoy exploring new ideas, but availability depends on timing and complexity. Reach out and let’s talk.
